Small octavo, 23 pages in total, with four letters on mourning stationery three with the very heavy black border Victoria adopted after the death of Prince Albert ; on letterheads of Windsor Castle two letters , Osborne two letters , and Balmoral; 1853 to 1879. Sarah Anne Hildyard was appointed as governess to the older Royal children in January 1847.
